Open Mornings and Tours
At Ickford, we do not have Open Mornings and prefer to show every family around the school, either individually or in pairs. The tours are led by the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher. This enables parents to get a proper look at the school on a normal day and to be able to ask pertinent questions that can be answered informatively and immediately.
We will show you around the classrooms and our facilities during lessons, as well as examples of children's work and how we expand our curriculum. You can talk to children about their experience and meet the different members of staff.
Although we understand it is sometimes unavoidable, it is easier if you do not bring children with you as the tour can take an hour and little ones can get bored quite easily. Furthermore, push chairs can be quite difficult to manage in busy classrooms.
Whether in or out of catchment, we highly recommend a visit. It is important to get a 'gut' feel for a school and to be sure that our expectations and values align. We welcome visits from anyone and look forward to meeting you.
