The children are now taught Music in year groups by XYZ Academy (https://xyzmusicacademy.com/)  Even though we still have a strong focus on the recorder in KS1 and the violin in KS2, the children are introduced to a wide range of musical instruments which ensures they receive the full national curriculum and more!

Each year, pupils from Years 3 to 6 give a wonderful performance at our Summer Music Concert. Every child takes part, singing and playing the violin, with several pieces composed by our talented Year 6 pupils. A number of soloists also have the opportunity to showcase their skills on the piano, violin and guitar.

It is a much-loved tradition, and one that we look forward to continuing with XYZ Music.
