On 25 May 2018, the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998 was replaced by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), updating how all personal information and data are managed within schools.

The GDPR strengthens the protection and security of personal data and ensures that all organisations, including schools and academies, handle information responsibly, transparently, and lawfully.

At Ickford School, our Data Protection Officer (DPO) is Miss Holmes, who oversees the school’s compliance with data protection requirements.
